Tulare County crop report for week ending August 28

Small grains and other field crops: Cotton is showing good growth as more blooms and squares develop with the warm weather. The harvest of silage corn continues. Sudan grass is growing well. Alfalfa hay is in its fifth cutting and growing well. Early planted black-eye beans are maturing and receiving their final irrigation prior to harvest.
